Drawing from over two decades of documentary work across the world — including long-term collaborations with communities in the Philippines — Jacob Maentz explores how patience, presence, trust, and observation shape meaningful photographs long before the shutter is pressed.

Through powerful visual storytelling, behind-the-scenes moments (including missed shots, challenges, and breakthroughs), and hands-on creative exercises, participants will discover how some of the strongest images emerge not from chasing moments, but from waiting for them.
